Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out how the Registrum platform may and may not be used. It forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, the Terms of Service. By using Registrum you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Permitted Use

You may use Registrum to:

• Keep records for your own Australian small business or your clients' businesses (if you are a registered accountant or BAS agent).
• Prepare invoices, quotes, payroll, BAS summaries, STP files and other internal records, knowing that lodgement remains your responsibility.
• Connect approved third-party integrations (bank feeds, payment processors, e-commerce platforms, etc.) using your own valid credentials.
• Invite team members and registered advisors to your organisation using the in-product invitation flow, provided each person you invite is at least 18 years old.
• Eligibility. Registrum is business software for adults. You may only open, pay for, use or be invited into an account if you are 18 or older and have legal capacity to enter into a contract. This limits who may use the platform; it does not limit who you may record in your own books, such as employees under 18 whose details you must keep for payroll and superannuation.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not, and must not permit any third party to:

• Use Registrum for any unlawful purpose, including tax evasion, money laundering, financing of terrorism, fraud, or breach of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth).
• Misrepresent your identity, your ABN, your business details, or your authority to act for another entity.
• Attempt to access another customer's account, organisation, data, or API endpoint.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, crawl, mirror, or copy any part of the platform, source code, database schema, or user interface, except as permitted by sections 47B–47H of the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
• Upload, store or transmit malicious code, viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, or any code designed to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any system.
• Use the platform to harass, defame, threaten, or send unsolicited commercial messages in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) or the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).
• Process personal information of others in a way that breaches the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or the Australian Privacy Principles.
• Use the platform to store, distribute or process child sexual abuse material, terrorism content, or content that is "objectionable" under the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth).
• Resell, sublicense, white-label, or expose Registrum functionality to third parties without our prior written agreement.
• Generate artificial load, automated bulk inserts, or load-test the platform without our prior written permission.
• Circumvent plan limits, paywalls, rate limits, MFA, or any technical access control.
• Use Reggie or any AI feature to generate content that breaches Australian law, infringes third-party rights, or that you then present as professional financial, legal or tax advice.
• Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or proprietary notice on the platform.

4. Security & Credentials

• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must keep passwords, API keys, partner secrets, MFA backup codes and bank-feed credentials confidential.
• You must notify us promptly at support@registrum.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Shared logins are discouraged. Use the in-product invitation flow to give team members or advisors their own accounts.

5. Fair Use of Quotas

Plan limits (note count, storage, AI credits, OCR scans, document inbox, API calls, etc.) are displayed inside the app at all times. Reaching a limit blocks new activity and surfaces an upgrade option — it never deletes existing data, and you are never automatically billed above the price of your chosen plan. Attempts to evade limits by spinning up multiple accounts for a single business are a breach of this AUP.

6. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Registrum (with or without notice) if we reasonably believe you have breached this AUP, the Terms of Service, or any applicable Australian law. Where practicable we will give you an opportunity to remedy a non-serious breach. For serious or repeated breaches — including illegal activity, security attacks, or conduct that endangers other customers — we may act immediately and preserve data for law-enforcement purposes.

Where suspension or termination is found to be wrongful, your remedies are limited as set out in section 10 of the Terms of Service, subject to your non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Reporting Abuse

To report a breach of this AUP — including suspected fraud, phishing using the Registrum brand, account compromise, or content prohibited under section 3 — email support@registrum.com.au with the subject line "AUP Report". We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app announcement at least 14 days before they take effect, except where an immediate change is required to address an unlawful or unsafe use. The current version is always available at this URL.
