When do I need to register for GST?

You must register for GST if your business has a GST turnover of $75,000 or more ($150,000 for non-profits), or if you provide taxi or ride-sourcing services regardless of turnover.

What is BAS and how often do I lodge it?

A Business Activity Statement (BAS) is used to report and pay GST, PAYG instalments, PAYG withholding and other tax obligations. Most small businesses lodge quarterly, but it can be monthly or annually depending on your turnover.

What is Single Touch Payroll (STP)?

Single Touch Payroll is an ATO requirement to send payroll information — salaries, PAYG withholding and super — to the ATO each pay run. STP Phase 2 also includes additional fields like employment type and income type.

What is the current super guarantee rate?

From 1 July 2025, the super guarantee rate is 12% of an employee's ordinary time earnings for the 2025-26 financial year.

Do I need an ABN to issue invoices?

If you're carrying on an enterprise in Australia, you need an Australian Business Number (ABN) to issue tax invoices. Without one, your customers may be required to withhold 47% of the payment.

Is Registrum compliant with Australian tax requirements?

Yes. Registrum is built for Australian businesses — it calculates GST, generates BAS preparation reports (G1–G15, 1A, 1B, W1, W2), tracks STP payroll data with PAYG and super, and defaults to AUD. Registrum prepares all figures for you; lodgement is done via the ATO Business Portal or your tax agent.

Can I switch from Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks?

Absolutely. Registrum supports CSV imports from all major platforms including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks. You can import your contacts, invoices, products, and receipts in minutes. Our Business plan also includes direct API integrations with these platforms.

Is my financial data secure?

All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We support TOTP-based two-factor authentication (2FA) with QR code enrollment and backup codes — admins can enforce 2FA for all users. We also use role-based access control, encrypted API keys, and maintain a full audit trail. Bank connections are provided via Basiq, an ACCC-accredited CDR Data Recipient. Every table has row-level security policies ensuring complete data isolation between users and organisations.

How much does Registrum cost?

Registrum starts at $8.95/month (AUD) for the Starter plan. The Jobs Management plan is $40.95/month for tradies and field service businesses. The Professional plan is $92/month and includes unlimited invoices, full payroll and STP Phase 2 export format, inventory, CRM and Telegram sending. The Business plan is $151/month with multi-org access, API and webhooks, the Reggie agent and a dedicated Telegram bot per organisation. Annual billing is available at a discount on all plans. All plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

Does Registrum support Single Touch Payroll (STP)?

Yes. Registrum produces STP Phase 2 reports in the ATO-specified format from your pay-run data. Lodgement is done through the ATO Business Portal or your tax agent — Registrum is not a registered ATO Digital Service Provider.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Registrum runs entirely in your browser and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) for a native-like experience on any device.

Can my accountant access my data?

Yes. You can invite your accountant with read-only or module-specific access. They get their own dashboard view without needing a separate subscription. You stay in control of what they can see.

Can I manage multiple businesses?

Yes! Master account holders can create and switch between multiple organisations from the sidebar. Each organisation has isolated data, branding, banking details, and its own Telegram bot. Available on all plans.

What CRM features are included?

Registrum includes a built-in CRM with a unified hub featuring three tabs: Contacts (with enriched fields like company name, ABN, industry, and tags), a Deals pipeline (Kanban board from Lead through to Won/Lost), and Follow-ups (tasks and reminders with overdue detection). You can share deals and follow-ups externally via secure links.

How does Telegram document sending work?

From any invoice, quote, credit note, or purchase order, click the Send button to choose what to include (PDF, summary text, portal link) and the channel (Email, Telegram, or Both). Your client needs to message /start to your Telegram bot first so you can get their Chat ID. Available on Professional and Business plans.

How does the Refer a Friend program work?

Every user automatically receives a unique referral code on signup. Share your personal link from the 'Refer a Friend' page in the sidebar — when someone signs up using your link, the referral is tracked automatically. Admins can configure rewards like free trial extensions.
